The spring is already here. Cherry blossoms are just a few days away from showing off their full beautiful selves and this is usually the time when many people decide to undergo a makeover. Or at least give one to their closest surroundings – new colors on the walls, maybe some flower-printed cushions or at least new tableware. It may not be possible to save on everything, especially if don’t necessarily trust the quality of all the precious bargains from Taobao. It can also happen that what you get will not be what you saw. Fortunately there are still spots in Shanghai where you can get some household equipment veeery cheap. I have already mentioned ENJOY EASY chain store at the beginning. Now, this one is mainly about tableware. And a very peculiar one, because ..it is mobile If you are looking for colorful and unique tableware that ,where even the biggest pieces will be below 100 RMB and cups of various shapes and sizes start with 5 RMB, then come to French concession and look for mobile vendors, selling plates, bowls , vases from their small trailers. They usually roam and stop for a few hours in ANFU road, CLOSE TO WUKANG road or at the CROSSROADS OF ANFU ROAD AND WULUMUQI ROAD. You will usually find them there every day, but particularly on weekends. Just 2 important notes from me: 1) They speak ONLY Chinese 2) Although their stuff is cheap, you can still BARGAIN – if you are buying quite a few pieces, then DO bargain for sure. The weather is getting nicer and nicer, so on a sunny weekend, take a walk or ride along Anfu road in between lunch and dessert and explore some steals in the hood.
