Shanghai is a place where you work hard and then, in order to keep balance, you party hard. A cliché, but a true one! It can be a risky business , though, because before you know, you might splurge all this hard earned Mao – yeye-s in clubs and bars, UNLESS…you are A GIRL! Yes, being a girl in Shanghai definitely has a lot of advantages and Ladies nights are one of them! And so that you would be well prepared, I will give you my favorite Ladies nights schedule.
WEDNESDAY - at least 2 options:

Shanghai has two types of party spots – either very fancy Bund style or more laid back, mostly featured by French concession. Zapatas belongs to the second one and if you are looking for a relaxed night out where you don’t need to get stressed if your outfit , make up and hairdo are suitable enough, this is where you should head!
Ladies night starts at 21 and until midnght all the ladies, single or not, can enjoy strawberry Margaritas at this Mexican bar and restaurant. It is especially appealing in the summer, when you can chill at Zapatas big garden with your free drinks, in between bar counter dancingJ

If on Wednesday night you feel more like donning one of your fancy gowns, stilettos and basking in the big city spirit, then the place for you is the MUSIC ROOM on the 92 nd floor of shanghai Financial Center – Shanghai’s signature Bottle Opener.
Ladies night starts at 20 30 and the deal lasts until 22 30 .The ladies get treated to the free flowing sparkling wine. You will be entertained by live performances and/or dj playing some really good tunes and of course you will feel like you are on top of the world with the mesmerizing view of Shanghai’s skyscrapers all around you.
THURSDAY
Might feel like déjà vu, but on Thursday all the ladies get to choose between l French concession and more chic Bund again!

The Apartment in fact balances somewhere in between relaxed style of Zapatas and fancy Bund clubs. You might not enter wearing your favorite sneakers, but you don’t need to be top glamour either.
The interior is stylish but relaxed at the same time and the club consists of 2 rooms, with different types of music. In the summer, you can take advantage of the cosy terrace!
Ladies night is from 21 and lasts all night, and usually you can choose either sparkling wine or a simple drink, sometimes served by shirtless bar tenders ;)
BAR ROUGE - Bund 18, 7/F, 18 Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu, near Nanjing Dong Lu. Address in Chinese : 中山东一路18号外滩18号7楼 Subway station : East Nanjing Road, Line 2/10.
Good ‘old’ Bar Rouge – the most popular party spot on the Bund. A place that asks you to ‘dress to impress’. The signature of Shanghai’s high – end nightlife. If it’s your first time to this city of lights, be prepared to be stunned by the view from the terrace just as I was on my first night out in Shanghai. And although it’s been almost 3 years, I still can’t help smiling every time I pay a visit.
Ladies night starts at 21 30 and lasts until 23 30 or sometimes till midnight. And besides the free drinks, ladies get special extra treat that distinguishes Bar Rouge – free manicure, sometimes also hair styling and lucky draws! Men can only be jealous!:)
FRIDAY
Although it is the beginning of weekend, it is not the end of Shanghai’s gifts for ladies!

It is a bit hidden venue, but a REAL gem for ladies! The Spot gives you the feeling of a ‘family llike’ atmosphere , where most of the people know each other. That’s because once you visit, you will keep coming back, attracted by their super friendly staff, great international cuisine at competitive prices, various theme parties,promotions and the live music by remarkable and invigorating ‘Level up’ band!
Ladies night starts at 10 pm and lasts…as long as the ladies are there and are able to drink all those fruity Margaritas served by some eye - catching bartenders. What makes The Spot stand out are the weekly Friday contests for the ‘Chic of the night’ and such lucky lady gets to win a bottle of Prosecco, Spinback Shanghia voucher and of course her very own tiara! The ‘cherry on top’ are very unique performances, strictly for ladies. But to find out the details, you need to come and check for yourself!
We girls often complain that ‘men have easier life’! Well, maybe in some fields. But considering all these offers Shanghai gives us, who doesn’t love to be a woman!
